This is my major project for EDET 693. This project was developed using the ADDIE process for design of instruction. My project is a tutorial that can be used as supplemental material or as a stand alone lesson. The recent trend for Career and Technology Curriculum is an emphasis on the inclusion of mathematics. My position at the Aiken County Career Center is to help the instructors make the connections between the math they use in their course work and the math the students are learning at their feeder schools. This tutorial addresses the use of mathematics (specifically trigonometry) in the criminal justice curriculum. Each step of the process of design is listed in the table below. Each completed assignment can be viewed by choosing the appropriately labeled link.

**Graphics Activity**
For the Graphics Activity, we worked with online image editors. We chose two of these editors and conducted a feature comparison using our own images or one found through creative commons. A set of criterion was given and we rated each editor.
**Audio Activity**
Audio Activity One
For this activity, we used Audacity to create a narration for our graphics activity. The narration was less than 30 seconds and was a simple summary of the graphics activity. The sound file was then exported as mp3 and added to the graphics activity. Audacity was downloaded from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Audio Activity Two
For this activity, we created a short, multiple-track audio file which incorporates background and voice narration. We were also asked to use/apply an effect to the music file.

Audio Activity Three
In this activity we explored online audio editors. I used Myna which is part of the Aviary suite of online tools. Aviary includes an image editor, audio editor, music creator, and a variety of other useful tools. We created a short, multiple-track audio file, incorporating music and voice narration.
**Video Activities**
Video Activity One
Part A.
In this activity, we took a screen shot (I used Jing) and reduced the image to less than 100K by using webresizer .

Part B.
In part B, we used Jing. to take a picture of the screen (or a portion), and labeled the image using the arrow tool and text tool.
We then reduced the size of the image to less than 100 K.

Part C.
In part C we used Jing to record a less than two-minute narration and explanation of a process (our choice) on our computers.

Video Activity Two
In Activity Two we created a short 5-slide slideshow with accompanying music using one of several choices of applications. The video was embedded into our wiki site.
**Project Flowchart**
The project flowchart establishes the pattern and organization of the project. Please note the flowchart is the design portion of the planning and is subject to change.
**Screen Design**
The screen design (the layout or template for each screen) contains specific functional areas (such as title, text, graphics, prompts, navigation options, feedback) to make the program more consistent and easier to follow.
**Storyboard**
The storyboard contains all the information about the media components included in the project.
**Final Multimedia Project**
The final project can be accessed here.
